HMBC - October is Battle of the Bands

October Meeting

Our next HMBC meeting will be on Wednesday October 16 at 6:30pm in the Band Room (M101) at HHS. A zoom link will be made available if you can’t make it in person. Perfect timing to drop off your concession purchases (see below!). We need parent volunteers to help out, please mark your calendar and consider attending! Even helping for a few hours just one day this year is significant and there are plenty of opportunties to do so!

Concessions Sign Up Genius

Last year we collected enough concessions at the beginning of the year to meet all of our needs at the concerts for HHS and HMS all year. It’s that time of year again! Please go to the sign up genius below to let us know what you will be able to donate and then deliver it to HMS Band Room (M101) before October 22. (You can make one trip by bringing it to the HMBC Meeting on October 16!)

Spring Trip Registration Complete!

Registration is now closed for the Spring Trip. Chaperones are being selected now (updates to come). Registered students will need to submit the code of conduct form and medical forms by March.

October Battle of the Bands!

We are thrilled to announce our "Battle of the Bands: Band vs. Orchestra + Choir Pledge to Practice" fundraiser for the Hereford Music Booster Club! This exciting event is open for participation immediately and will run through October 17th. Students can use the funds they raise directly for their 2025 Spring Trip or donate them to HMBC to elevate the music experience with new equipment.

To make fundraising easier, we are partnering with 99Pledges. This platform allows you to reach out to friends and family via email, Facebook, and Twitter, eliminating the need for door-to-door efforts.

To add your child as a participant, please follow these 3 easy steps:

  1. Visit this link for ORCHESTRA or CHOIR students: www.99pledges.com/fund/HMBCOrchestraChoir/addme
    OR
    Visit this link for BAND students: www.99pledges.com/fund/HMBCBand/addme

  2. Enter your child’s name (You can use first name with last initial for increased privacy) and your email(s).

  3. Click “Add” – this will take you to your newly created pledge page!

All you need to do is make a donation for whatever amount you can and share your child’s pledge page link with friends and family. We are aiming for 100% participation, so no amount is too small.

Here is some sample sharing text you can use:

"[STUDENT NAME] is participating in a fundraiser and would love your support. If you'd like to donate, you can do so online at the following link: [YOUR PLEDGE PAGE LINK]

Not only will this help to offset costs for music/vocal trips and equipment, but it is also a fun competition between the music ensembles. Go, [BAND/CHOIR/ORCHESTRA]!"
