Disney registration hits 100, and Fall Showcase needs you!
Officers, Disney registration, Fall Showcase concessions, and the Texas Roadhouse nights.
Welcome back
Thank you to everyone who came to our first Hereford Music Boosters Club (HMBC) meeting on Sept 21. The turnout was great, and we were glad to see so many freshman parents. Back to School Night alone brought in $85 in direct donations, more than 20 new email sign-ups, and a lot of excitement about the Disney trip.

Disney update
Hereford music students are headed to Disney World in January 2027, our biennial overnight performance trip. As of Sept 26, 100 travelers had registered, which is over the tour company's minimum of 93.
The plan: the time away counts as an excused absence. The bus leaves Thursday night. Students perform Friday, spend all day Saturday and Sunday at Disney, then drive home Sunday night and arrive Monday morning. The only stop each way is Buc-ee's.
If your student is going: registration deadlines are coming up, and Mr. Pilius will share the details.
If you plan to chaperone: register yourself first, then designate that you want to chaperone. Expressing interest on the form is not enough.
Trip shirt sponsorships (for everyone): Holly Grothe is leading a sponsor drive. Local businesses can be listed on the back of the trip shirt. Sponsor names are due to Mr. Pilius by Dec 14. Students will bring home a letter and form. Sponsors can give through our donation page, which also provides a tax receipt: https://www.zeffy.com/en-US/donation-form/2026-27-hmbc-capital-campaign

Wanted: a rolling beverage cooler for concessions, since one of ours has started leaking. If you have a good one in your garage, please tell Eva or Cathy.
Fundraising: what's coming
Texas Roadhouse nights on Wed, Oct 21 and Thu, Oct 22, where roughly 10% of sales come back to the program. Students can sign up to work the Music Boosters bake sale table, and may earn service hours. https://www.signupgenius.com/go/409084AAFAA2FA6F49-66367868-hereford#/
A Battle of the Bands direct-donation fundraiser is being planned. Dates to come.

A new second drum kit, approved by the board, replacing a mismatched donated kit used by Steel Band and music-tech classes.
